The name reflects our commitment, to make education Available. Accessible. Affordable. It also reflects our emphasis on addressing domestic and international markets. It also stands for our emphasis on personalized learning and enhancing learning outcomes for the individual. Thus the symbol “U” denotes an integrated and holistic approach to distance learning Manipal Universal Learning seeks to position itself as a pure play distance learning, learning technology and learning services company.
Our new name therefore reflects this emphasis on learning not only for domestic but equally for international markets. The areas that Manipal Universal Learning Private Limited will focus on are as follows: Distance Education; The emphasis is on delivering quality learning for individual learners as well as for institutional markets. We will continue to work closely with our University partners and regulatory bodies in enhancing the delivery of learning in select domains. Our Focus will be to establish quality learning centres with a higher priority towards domiciling such learning centres within educational institutions: schools, colleges and other focused education providers. All the courses in the distance education will be constituted towards the needs of industry. While we will continue to emphasize academics, we are also aware that our customer; the individual student; will demand competencies than enhance employment and livelihood opportunities. Clearly the perspective will be to continuously demonstrate the academic as well as the cost benefit outcomes of the course options.The various stakeholders to our endeavor will be the individual learner, and the consumer: the industry and service sectors that will engage with our learners in their working careers.
Both are an integral part of our constituency and hence stakeholders in our process; in addition to the Universities, and the statutory and regulatory bodies. Continued Medical Education (CME); It is our belief that the CME business will evolve over the next few years as regulation, growth of healthcare, and medical tourism, will demand a structured initiative nationwide. Once again, we will be focusing on international markets in the medium term.This division is a new initiative that has been started.
To begin with we have focused on content development as well as learning services including e-tutoring. The products and services are in the initial phase of development but we believe we have the beginnings of a sustainable business model. As the global trends migrate towards technology enabled learning and e-learning, this division we will begin to address the demands of a larger market place.
